Moonlight

By: Collin Kane

I've always loved you, you know? Trust is what we wear when the thunder rattles our bonds. The coat we both fit under helps us weather the storms. I feel the radiant heat of your smile when you make me laugh or when you ask me how I'm doing or if there is anything I need from the store cause I’m too sick to get up. Your smile lets me know you care. Life has undoubtedly challenged us, but like the movement of the sun and the moon, we always kept moving forward as a pair. You’re my life's sun, warmth, and brightness. And I'm your moon because you brighten my face whenever I look at you. So, whenever you are in a dark place, all you have to do is look up, and I will shine down on you. You’re my sunshine, and I’m your moonlight.
