Syracuse, NY—The SUNY Student Assembly (SUNY SA) will host its highly anticipated Fall Leadership Conference and 50th Anniversary Celebration in Syracuse, New York on November 15th-17th. This special event will bring together student leaders from across SUNY’s 64 campuses at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown Hotel, marking a milestone in student advocacy and leadership within the State University of New York (SUNY) system.
The conference aims to empower students with leadership skills, foster civic engagement, and provide a platform for discussing pressing issues affecting the SUNY community. Throughout the weekend, participants will engage in workshops, networking sessions, and interactive panels focusing on advocacy, student government best practices, and community leadership.
“As we celebrate 50 years of student advocacy, this conference is not just a reflection on our past achievements, but a call to action for the future.” said Giovanni Harvey, SUNY Student Assembly President & Trustee of the State University of New York. “SUNY Students have always been at the forefront of change, and this weekend is an opportunity for us to come together, share our experiences, and inspire one another to continue making a positive impact on our campuses and beyond.”
The event will also feature a special awards ceremony to recognize student leaders, clubs, and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to their campuses and communities. The conference will culminate in a gala celebrating the 50-year legacy of the Student Assembly, highlighting key milestones and honoring past leaders who have paved the way for today’s student advocates.
